Check your whole roster against the OIG exclusion list

Screening is required monthly, for every credentialed provider. Every free tool I could find checks one at a time. This one takes the whole list.

Your roster never leaves this page. The exclusion list is downloaded to your browser and the matching happens there. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere here to upload it to.

Last, First or First Last. Add an NPI on the line if you have it and the match gets far more reliable.

What this does not tell you

Read this part. A screening tool that oversells itself is worse than none, because you would stop looking.

  • A clear result is not proof anyone is eligible. It means no match was found in this file. Names get misspelled, people marry and change them, and only about one in ten LEIE records carries an NPI to match on instead. Absence of a match is not absence of an exclusion.
  • A name match is not a finding. Common names collide constantly. OIG's own guidance is that a name hit must be verified against Social Security number or date of birth through their verification process before you act on it. Do that before you do anything else.
  • This is the OIG LEIE only. It is not SAM.gov and it is not your state's Medicaid exclusion list. Full screening means all three, and this covers one.
  • It is a point-in-time check. OIG replaces the file monthly, by the 10th. Running this once tells you about today. The requirement is monthly, forever, for everyone on your roster.

Doing this monthly, by hand, forever?

That last limitation is the actual problem, and no free tool fixes it. RosterSafe screens your roster against OIG-LEIE and SAM.gov on a schedule and tells you when something changes, rather than waiting for you to remember. Free for one provider if you want to see it work first.
