CAQH is now DataSpring, and re-attestation has not changed

Published . Written for that date. A later change gets its own note.

CAQH renamed itself “DataSpring, powered by CAQH” in June 2026. Its own Q&A says providers do not need to do anything: logins, profiles and saved links are the same, the portal is still at proview.caqh.org, and it is still free. What does change is the name on the emails, including the reminders to re-attest.

What changed

  • The company name. CAQH is now DataSpring, powered by CAQH, with a new main website at dataspring.com.
  • The branding on emails and resources. Messages now come under the DataSpring name.
  • The portal’s look. DataSpring says you may see updated branding in the portal itself. It now calls the portal the “CAQH Provider Data Portal”, the product most people still know as ProView.

What did not change

According to DataSpring’s Q&A:

  • Logins and access. Credentials are the same and saved links still work or redirect.
  • Profiles. The provider’s profile and the data in it stay as they were, and the provider still controls who can see it.
  • Cost. Providers are not charged to use the portal.
  • How it works. The portal experience and core functions are the same.

Nothing in the Q&A changes the attestation process, so the re-attestation clock your providers are on carries on as before.

The ownership question

The Q&A also confirms that CAQH became a for-profit company. It says CAQH was not sold or acquired, and that DataSpring is owned by shareholder companies affiliated with health plans. It says this does not give health plans control of provider profiles. Providers who ask whether their data is now being sold can be pointed to that answer in DataSpring’s own words.

What to do this month

  • Tell your providers the name has changed, so a re-attestation email from “DataSpring” is not deleted as spam or mistaken for phishing.
  • Tell them to check before clicking. DataSpring’s own advice for an unfamiliar message is to contact its support center before acting on it, and that advice is sound for any email asking for a login.
  • Update your own checklists and templates that say “CAQH ProView”, so a new coordinator searching for the old name is not confused.
